CSL courses through the FSRN are exclusively focused on a theme of food security. Individual courses involve faculty members from a broad range of Faculties including: Forest and Forest Environments, Social Sciences and Humanities, Health and Behavioural Sciences and Science and Environmental Studies.
All instructors (tenured, tenure-stream, and sessional lecturers) are encouraged to create sub-themes of food security that are pertinent to a credit course that they are instructing and could provide the students with community engagement whereby the students can learn from the community and bring this knowledge back into the classroom.
